It’s not a remake, its a spin off.
This game is actually a remake of the original with better graphics and some parts of story we’re changed.
Another different world, haven’t heard that before: A LINK TO THE PAST metroid and so many games before Silent Hill.
I said that without Silent Hill’s otherworld it’s just a generic creepy town. The hellish nightmare world is probably it’s most famous feature.
should i get this for chrismas? what do you guys say?

Its the “Otherworld” As the person said there is three layers but they are the normal town, the town which is manifested from peoples inner self and an empty town. The reason you are used to seeing bloood/rust or fire is because that was the common “Otherworld” which is when the world changes.
In this game the “Otherworld” is ice. If you want a better explanation then check Wikipedia.
On another note this game has very good Wii graphics and I really enjoyed it.
i dont think game informer even played the game they said it was a bad looking game and in the magazine they took a 50×50 photo and blew it up to like 300×100 like there trying to make it look bad
Shattered Memories for Wii is great and has great graphics.
There are three lairs to silent hill. one normal lair with people in it and nothing weird, one with fire and ash covering all of it. and one cold hellish one with contrasting environments
ok im lost i always thought SH had something to do with fire from all the game i played. so whats up with ice?
Looks scary, but i have a problem with this SH games, the graphics, they’re not good, and its not like its a long game, maybe im wrong, but i played homecoming and the graphics are bad for a 360 or ps3 and it wasnt scary. Hope this game will

If an opossum randomly jumped through your window, it would surprise you. There is a difference between surprise and actual fear.
Having no creepy dark world is going to bug some long time fans of the franchise.

And the no-combat thing doesn’t make it much scarier. I can count many times in the originals where you will just end up running away, and combat is usually so clunky that it’s difficult to use making it scary. Loss of combat will, in my opinion, detract from the gameplay.
Uhuh. Sure. Dude, grow a pair. All those games are are just “Oh, look, a monster jumped from a wall!” Never seen that before. Seriously, grow some.
This is foolish…they took the worst reviewers for this…Gamespot and Gametrailers gave it about 8.5.

They picked like the worst scores for this game. Even Gamespot gave it an 8.0, and Gametrailers 8.5… The hell with it! I don’t care what this video says! Even though most of it it’s true…. I ENJOYED the game! At the end, it almost made me cry because it’s really sad! Plus, the game has replay value! You can make your own scenario! And the characters change as well!
