i LOVE yang yilin but her kips are sooo labored!!! her routine is breathtaking except for those kips – they look like such a struggle. I wonder why her coaches didn’t change her technique?

She was actually 15. Her birthday is october 20th, so she was 15 at the olympics.

she actually knocked shawn out of the top three, who had a substantially lower uneven bars score. they were close, after the similar disparity (in shawn’s favor) in vault scores
How could Semenova knock Liukin out of the top three when Liukin had higher scores in both rotations?
Pavlova really is a great gymnast and she’s been that way for years!

It’s funny that the female commentator called Semenova’s Deltchev an unusual element. Exactly 20 years before Beijing, it was one of the most common uneven bars releases performed at the Seoul Olympics.
OHHH!!! haha i think its funny that at 1:22 on bars one she isnt wearing grips and two she doesnt have a lot of chalk on the bar!!! just like me!! i would love to compete on those bars they look great and not slipery!!

I think it is 1 release on same bar, release from high to low bar, and release from low to high bar
On bars I thought you had to have like 3 releases and a transfer etc. Pavlova hardly did anything though… ?
